Can it bask in that light?
I really dont want to waste money on some special one if i dont have too!

No, sorry. Remember, you are trying to give the turtle sunlight, as close to the light it would get straight from the good old sun as possible. Not plain aquarium or human lamps. They don't have the right kind of light.
Turtles will feel their best when you get a good basking lamp or fixture. Sure they can get a little pricey.
My light bulbs cost about $20.00 ea., but still worth it.

A regular lightbulb in a dome reflector works just fine for a heat lamp. You need a second bulb, that looks like a fluorescent bulb, to provide UVB. A reptisun 10.0 or reptiglo 8.0 is best, and must be within 12 inches of the basking spot. Temp of basking spot from heat lamp should be 85-90F. Use a probe thermometer to measure accurately.
