The best thing I've done for someone is help my girlfriend out when her grandma passed away a couple days ago from cancer.

I have a friend staying with me. She was only going to be here a few months, but then had back surgery & now instead of her roomie, I'm her care-giver. (I went out on disability myself last year).

I don't really know, but I did let a homeless family of five stay with me for three months.
