I have to write a paper on what drama is for my theatre class, i've already written it, but i'd like some insight on what it is to you, both by definition and by life....

Drama to me is digging deep inside a fictional character and bringing them to life. You have to be able to get to know your character so well that you don't just act like you know how they're feeling but you feel their emotions as well. You have to be able to relate to who you are portraying to make people understand your character as well.
I'm only 13 though so you don''t have to trust me on a paper.

Drama is the generic term for the study of theatre, or it is that category of the arts that deals with the theatre.

Because artistic expression is based upon emotional responses, any life event which causes an emotional response is termed Dramatic even though it has nothing to do with theatre.

Drama is the re-enactment of a story involving characters to an audience by use of spoken words, movement, and stage settings.
It is most often perpetrated in a Theatre. The practitioners of Drama are known as Actors.

Don't they have textbooks at your school?
