When you drink from a can, your mouth is touching a part of the metal that is not at all protected or sterile. You could be putting your mouth on dust, dirt, or disease causing germs. Seriously, you might as well lick the bottom of the can.

So, with all the modern technology available, why do they still sell can drinks? And, why don't people who are otherwise very germaphobic think it's gross?

That's why I hate drinking from cans. One time I bought a can from a vending machine, and the entire top was covered in black/brown dirt. It's truly disgusting :-p

I always wipe off the can before I drink out of it. I don't just take it out of the machine and start drinking.
