Are the scales standing out from the body so it looks like a pinecone (see photo: http://o-fish.com/HamaPenyakit/images/img_dropsy_1.jpg ) ? That may be drospy rather than pregnancy.

Dropsy isn't actually a disease in itself, but rather a symptom of something else that is wrong. She's not able to get rid of excess water in her body. The trick is to figure out what the cause is, and fix that if possible. She may just need to have the water changed, or it may be an internal ifection or kidney diease. It's not always treatable, depending on what the cause turns out to be.

I'd start with a water change (especially if you've used any medications or chemicals [algae killers, multiple types of water conditioners] in the tank) - do a 50 % change if you've been using any of the above, and only add one conditioner to remove what's in your water supply (chlorine or chloramine). Add a small amount of Epsom salt to the tank (mix with water first) - use 1/4 teaspoon per 10 gallons of tank water - this needs to be Epsom salt, not regular salt.

If you don't see an improvement in 2 days or so, treat for an internal infection using Flagyl (recommended by the link below) or Maracyn 2 (active ingredient - Minocycline).

If the one crisis this is overfeeding, s/he will have to be ok. The crisis is he maybe constipated (sure, it may well occur to a fish!). If it's going to devour, check out feeding it a tiny piece of a cooked inexperienced pea for a few fiber, and rapid it the relaxation of the day. And sooner or later, best feed what the fish can devour in two-three mins two times an afternoon. If what you have been feeding is flake meals, there is a hazard it ingested a few air as good. This is also what is inflicting it to show over. If there was once any extra meals left within the tank it will have to be eliminated or it may well foul the water.
