that every time I go to school we will start a game of football, (or basketball) and one of the captains would choose me to be on they're team. But a minutes later, I make one tiny mistake of passing the ball to the opposing team or miss the basket a couple of times and now they are saying I suck or they want me to dropout from the game. I don't understand, I doing my best or maybe I'm not cut out for basketball...

Listen man, i not much of a sports guy because i suck at many sports including basketball which i really enjoy watching. But if there is one thing i have learned at school is to get on the game no matter what people say. That is the only way you are going to get better. So what if you miss a couple baskets!!!!??? You should see the other guys most of the school games only score a few baskets. Don't be discouraged and don't listen to those mediocres that tell you the contrary.

You call passing the ball to the opposing team a tiny mistake?
Maybe you need to understand the game first.

Tell them to shoot 10 3's or give them them the football and go 30 yards downfield and tell them to hit you in the chest and let them show themselves that everyone makes mistakes. Just do your best...

Don't worry about it. It's just the age. Look at what the guy who's saying it to you has done himself in the game, and it's probably worse then you. Just keep playing hard.

If you can't play basketball, try football instead. Maybe you'll have better luck.

Try practicing at it. If you don't like the sport or don't improve, try suggesting a new sport to play. You'll find there's one out there you like.
