$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$.

Actually, the American public is in a bind. We have a de facto two party system in America. This isn't what our forefathers had in mind for this country. They imagined a diverse array of political parties. The end result is that people just don't have much to choose from any more.

Let's say I'm FOR gun control, but AGAINST abortion. Well, I'm stuck. The current parties are at odds on these issues. So, I have to pick. I will usually pick the party based on the most important issues to me. So, if gun control is REALLY important, I'll go Democrat. If abortion is more important, I'll go Republican.

Very few people agree with ALL the issues in the party platform, but they register as a Democrat or Republican because they want thier vote to 'count'. It's absurd. By NOT choosing a fringe party, they garauntee that they will NEVER have a candidate that will truly represent thier views. Yet...year after year, people comprimise thier views to fit either the Democrat or Republican Party.

Genearlize lots? a minimum of base your generalization on tendencies in the present day and not 40 years in the past. inner cities and gentrified city cores are nicely populated by using liberals. in fact lots so as that it extremely is definitely displacing many of the undesirable people who've been there for generaitons in some places. yet the place human beings stay has no longer something to do with their politics, purely their wealth first, observed by using their existence form. Wealthier liberals tend to stay interior the city, center classification liberals tend to stay interior the suburbs and undesirable liberals stay the place they might. And an identical could be stated for many conservatives.

Because that is where working people live, not welfare democrats ;like in the cities.

Also, suburbanites are too smart to fall for the democrat arguments. Democrats always aim their arguments at the dumbest people in society, hoping to get 51% of the country's least intelligent and most gullible. Lincoln said that you could fool some of the people all of the time and the Dem's know that these gullible people are all they need to win.

People in the suburbs are more liekly to be married and have children. Both of those factors make a person more likely to be a republican.

uh.....where do you get your facts from? That is NOT necessarily true. It really depends on where you live. Places such as Connecticut, Mass., California, etc. are full of suburban Democrats.
