I am finding myself in this scenario right now. Yeah i know i will always be a USC fan and would never dream of going against them but i am developing a penchant for another school. I left Cali to persue my masters degree elsewhere and have since relocated to a certain area and it seems the local team is being shoved down my throat.

Well, I'm a UW student, and I grew up here, so I've always been a Husky fan, but I like other teams and root for them, unless they're playing to the Huskies. If I should go to a different school for post-grad work after I graduate, I'm not sure. I can't imagine switching loyalties entirely, but I would root for that school too, they'd at least become my 2nd favorite team. If it was another Pac 10 school, I might feel a bit torn.

I've been an Atlanta Falcons fan since age 10 (I'm now 33). I moved to Charlotte six years ago, and have gone to a couple Panthers games. I like the current personnel at Carolina. Love the colors. They have several UGA alumni on the team. I've been tempted to switch allegiance, but I just can't do it.

I like Texas...but I think the SEC is great to watch and they have such a rich tradition...I root for Texas when I can...if I'm watching a game where it's a Texas team against a team out of state I root for the team from Texas...after that I love to see southern teams sticking it to teams like...USC, Michigan, Ohio State, etc...

Not once. If a team is in your league/ division, it's natural to route for them, if your team didn't make it, but you don't change teams, unless you weren't a real fan.
