dryness, could you determine the amounts of NaCl, Fe,and Sio2 originally present? why or why not?

The NaCl is soluble in water. After filtration, you could evaporate the salt solution, heat to dryness, and determine the amount of NaCl. Fe and SiO2 are both water-insoluble, so you would have a mixture of the two after filtering them away and heating to dryness. Best is to separate the Fe with a magnet sometime.
