Uh-huh. Interesting argument. You've provided all of us with well-considered, thoughtfully written, grade-A material and... no, I can't resist.
1) As others have mentioned, assuming 2 RBI per homerun is relatively stupid. The link I provided from baseball-reference.com has the actual data for his homeruns, which is as follows: 18 solo HRs, 27 2-run HRs, 5 3-run HRs, and 2 grand slams. I believe if you add all these together, you come up with 95 RBI on homeruns, leaving him with 46 on non-homeruns. That was your first mistake.
2) How can you make the assumption that, had he not hit a homerun, he wouldn't have driven anyone in? For the 18 solo homers, he wouldn't have, but what about the others? What if he had hit a single, double, or triple instead? Or what if he got an RBI through a groundout or sacrifice fly with a runner on third, or by a HBP or BB if the bases were loaded? That's an incredibly obvious logical fallacy of your argument that he has underperformed as a "so call 'PRO'" (in your eloquent words).
3) There are virtually no whispers of his involvement in steroids or HGH as of yet, despite him being possibly the second biggest fish in the current baseball pond (behind Barry Bonds). That does not mean he is innocent, but it does mean we should give him the benefit of the doubt unless significantly more information ever comes to light.
Please do not let my comments prevent you from providing more cogent analysis on our country's traditional pasttime.

"Each Home run is 1 RBI so, 52 X 2=104"
if each home run is one RBI, why did you multiply by 2? apparently you failed the SAT's.
141 - 52 = 89 <<<[still above average]
i dont know why you decided to multiply by 2.
and no, alex rodriguez did not and does not do steroids.

I don't think so. Although I may be biased cause I'm a Yankee fan, and have a brother who's favorite player has been A-Rod since he was on the Mariners, I don't think there's much of a chance for that. He's a really hard worker, and he's really strong. He could probably play football and basketball professionally, but played baseball instead. He's really trimmed down last year, and has always been consistent. Why can't some people accept the fact that some people have pure talent. I don't get it.

Ahh finally a wicked good question. I think the pansie in pinstripes is a closet homosexual that happens to be a very good baseball player. To me he looks like he is always uncomfortable being in his own skin. I think that the whole strip club thing was to prove to his wife that he isnt banging Jeter anymore. Without a doubt he is a great baseball player, probably the best I have ever seen, BUT (always a but) I cannot give any i mean any professionaly baseball player a pass on the steroid question (well maybe Dustin Pedroia) (by the way we are still wating for the persmission slip from Pedroia's mom to participate in the postseason.)

If they can catch R. Ankeil and T. Glaus who aren't even half of A-Rods talent then they could catch him.
I thought HRs are worth 1 RBI unless there are numerous peopl on base.He has had 2 or 3 Grand Slams. If he was just hitting HRs all year non stop then maybe but he's having his months where he's hot, cold or warm.Stop Hating.
MVP! MVP! MVP! MVP! MVP! MVP! MVP! MVP! MVP!
Players who haven't been caught are-
*David Orcheat
*Ryan Howard
*Jim Thomcheat
*Barry Bonds
*Mark Mcguire
*Sammy Sosa

not one. It's no accident and crertinally not drugs that is making this happen, its hard work, determination, focus, and a lot of natural talent. And by the way, you're wrong. Not all of his hr's have been 2 run shots, he has more than 37 rbi's by basehits.

actually 1 rbi for each homerun would give him 52 moron.....your x2 would mean 1 person was on base for every single one. so that completely shuts your question right out.....so i believe theres more of a reason that youre retarded than a-rod is on steroids

I love A-Rod. I'm a big Yankees fan so anything A-Rod does I will like. Really hoping that he will stay with the Yankees next year. There is not a chance that he is taking steroids. You can't tell me that everytime he hit one the next day he takes the test.

Let me start by saying, I do not like Alex Rodriques. Now, I have to say, he is one of the best hitters in baseball. I do not think he does steroids. I doubt he ever did. He has consistently been a great hitter his whole career.
