I don't have any family in a nursing home at present, but, yes by all means, visit if you do. Even if you think that they don't know you, go anyway. And never go without taking a little something, for them. You could be making their day.

If I had a relative that was in a nursing home yes I would go visit them. It's always fun to go see your relatives no matter where they live. And besides you don't want them to think that you've forgotten them. After all they're your family.

I visited my grandpa at least twice a week when he was in the nursing home, it's an hour away and I had to take the kids, but I knew that he loved us coming.
My grandmother is in an assisted living residence but I don't see her as often because she is ungrateful and not very nice to my mother who does everything for her. I try very hard to be nice, I love her because she is my grandma, but she is not an easy person to love.

I used to, that person has since passed away, but I couldn't bear the thought of her sitting there lonely and sad (a lot of the other residents were a little senile). I took my daughter a few times and it made some of the old people's day to see a little kid running around.

When my grandma was alive I would visit her but now she's long passed but sometimes I think about going and doing volunteer work. I remember in highschool at around Christmas time they took a bus load of us kids there to visit the elderly and they really seemed to like it.

We sang songs and helped them eat the cakes and candies.

I don't have any relatives in a nursing home. But if I did, I would definitely visit.

Some periodically out of family obligation, others because I really like them. My dad has an 89 year old aunt who has always been one of my favorite relatives. I genuinely enjoy her company.

Mother was reading to her mother who was in a nursing home, and suddenly her mothers eyes got bright. she smiled ,raised her hands up and cried out Jesus and died.
I do visit people when there in the hospital or nursing home.and take them flowers and things they might like.

No, but we did spring one out of the nursing home. We brought him to our home and took care of him until he died of lymphoma last year.
