Males have a modified anal fin (the one at the bottom closest to the tail). On males, this comes to a long point (see photo: http://www.aqualandpetsplus.com/Livebe6.jpg ), but on females is triangular, or fan-shaped: http://animal-world.com/encyclo/fresh/livebearers/images/fe_guppy_s.jpg
Females also get larger than males, but males generally have larger tails.

The males have pretty colours on their bodies and tails. The females are quite plain.

the males are the pretty ones long flowing fins and pretty colors you will find the male faster then you will find the females they are very basic looking no color and shaped like a tetra.

If you have a girl be prepard! she will be giving birth to fry every 1-2 months for 6 months! even if she was exposed to a boy only once!

the males have nice, pretty, long fins and tails and females look like any other fish
