Yes. Now maybe you should ask how, and for what application. By definition, all weed wackers have some sort of 'clutch' already on it. Hence the motor keeps running while the 'head' stops turning. That clutch mechanism is near the engine. If you want to use one on the business end, then yes you can add one. The real question is 'How?' Please ask again. Thank you, and good luck.

Search the web for "mini bike clutch"
There are millions of sites that sell clutches and chain & sprocket kits.
Have fun.

If you're talking about a hand held weed wacker with the long pole, I don't think those engines have enough HP to propell a kitty cat.

An engine is an engine.. of course you could. It already has a centrifugal clutch while its on the weed wacker.. thats why it doesnt move while you arent giving it any gas.. I assume you are trying to use the engine for some other project. If you are trying to gear it you'll have to have a transmission

particular, this is executed yet you're able to desire to hold it thoroughly point least the string slants down and gouges. There are certainly trimmers on wheels to avert this from happening, yet no longer to your subject. yet another theory is after the 1st trimming and if there is not any HOA mowing, placed money right into a push mower with countless buddies. each and each kick in a pair of greenbacks.......they are particularly low-cost.....and mow it your self. That small could take purely a couple of minutes at each and each backyard.
