i'm doing a project in english and we just read Beowulf so i'm trying to get info on the geography of that area

yes, god created the heavens and the earth, but the dutch created holland. Anno 1500 we started to build dams and dykes to controll the water and add farmland.

our most recent asset has been flevoland. which was drained in the 1970-1990ies. you can see it in the central body of water. under the flag of leliestad.

The only significant change is that the forests are gone. Sure there are a few stands of trees; here and there. But nothing like the Forrest that once spread from France to the Russian steepe.

You mean the part that was underwater and marshy before it was dammed and drained to make Holland, etc., or are you further north than that?
