18 foot Alligator?

Question

My friend saw a pic of an 18 foot alligator they found in the sewer. Does anybody have a picture to prove that?? Plllllleeeeeeease???

It is likely a picture manipulation. While it IS more then possible for a crocodile to get that long, even longer (I believe the biggest crocodile on record is a 28.6 foot long saltwater crocodile) Alligators rarely, if ever, reach that length. There has never been a documented case where an alligator has actually been in a sewer. That is an urban legend.

An alligator can grow to that proportion, but one in the sewer? I doubt it.

i bet it was an exaggeration, you don't really know the "exact" measurement, i mean did he literally take out a measuring tape and measure this "18 ft" alligator. It could be an expression of how big it is, maybe..in person..
