My husband and I are going to try to get pregnant within this year and beginning of next year. I was wondering if there are tips from those who have been there about taking care of myself before I get pregnant. I already started pre natal vitamins, what else can I do to be healthy before we even start trying.

You are already doing it by taking the prenatal vitamins- that is a huge, huge thing for baby and for you! Stop bad habits now- smoking, start exercising, etc.

Do some reading on pregnancy and parenting- and breastfeeding. Knowledge is power and it helps a lot!

Good luck!

Just exercise and watch your diet. You should be doing that anyway.

My advice is don't try. Just let it happen. Don't make "trying" a chore. Just have sex whenever you feel like it. "Trying" can cause stress and making sex a chore is no fun for either of you. It also causes unwanted stress that will inhibit conception. If your body is stressed, it is less likely to conceive. Just do "it" when ever you feel like and when you have your baby, you'll know you had your baby because you love each other, not because it was just another chore.

Imagine, your pregnant now.
You'll get used to the diet, and such.
Talk to your doctor about becoming pregnant, and some stuff you need to watch out for.
And good Luck with that. :)
