Exhausted, frustrated, mentally deficient, unable to speak in full sentences, back pain, no patience, crusty-eyed, tired and dirty. Thankfully, I am no longer going through this! It just ended about 1 1/2 months ago :) My little girl is now 8 1/2 months old. Goodluck!

You feel desperate to sleep, short tempered, crazy. Depression, anger, frustrated, all that stuff. You need SLEEP and must find a way to do it. It will not last forever this stage, but it's very hard.

Which is why a husband makes a HUGE difference to a Mom!! Find other new Moms like yourself and give each other a break when you can.

dingy-try to sleep when jr doses. if you are breast feeding don't drink caffeine or jr will stay up too. hav some oatmeal it will help relax you and re-up your calcium-once again if breast feeding jr will benefit from oatmeal too-calcium promotes sleep, and plentiful milk supply-try to take cat naps( o.k. i know it sounds corny, but it works) if you can grab less than an hour-you know 40 winks- if you sleep for more than an hour you will be groggy ,arrugh much more difficult to wake all the way- get a hobby no kidding-cooking -sewing something simple you can just put down easily when jr wakes- do something relaxing to MOM - even just rest for 10 -20 min, your body will refresh. YOU CAN DO THIS MOM_ YOU ARE THE BEST!

Because of my newborn? It didn't bother me at all. I LOVED getting up to feed her. Everytime I'd go to sleep, I couldn't wait for her to wake up because I was constantly worried about her. After 1 month, she was sleeping through the night though!

Confused and short tempered. It will pass. If it lasts a long time, you sort of get used to sleeping less and learn to nap VERY effectively.

Like I can hardly drag my butt around the house to take care of my kids, much less myself.
