Actually Sam's Club makes sure that they are cheeper. It's my boyfriends job. He goes over to Costco every day to check the prices on not just gas but everything and then reports it back to corporate and then sams club changes their price so that it's lower.
BUT to answer your question... I won't shop at Sam's Club because they treat their employees like crap.

I buy gasoline at Costco when I get the chance. We don't have a Costco in my town. I buy locally until I have to go out of town, then I buy at Costco. I do believe they are not only less expensive, but the quality of the fuel seems to be a bit better. My car likes it.

We don't havea Costco around here, or I'd try it. I won't give Sam's Club another cent of my money, since they have made it impossible for me to use their store, by refusing me the same amenities other people get. (handicap carts, and yes, I'm entitled, according to the state.)

Neither I buy gas at Holiday. Sam's is 25 miles away and that would defeat the purpose.
