My friend Jessica is due very soon to have a baby and I want to be her wet nurse but she says she might get jealous but I know her and she would nurse her baby one night and then be too tired the next night and want to feed him formula. I love nursing and would be very devoted to the baby but she says she might get jealous if someone else is nursing her baby. My husband said its up to her what she decides. How can I convince her to let me breastfeed her baby????? This is a repost in another category b/c I want more answers!! Thanks everyone!!!

Give it up. Let your friend breastfeed her own baby/give the baby formula. Don't be creepy about it, or you might lose a friend (and that is downright creepy).

I recently read a story in a woman's mag along the same lines. It's really up to her. Considering the baby isn't even born yet, I think it would be best for all to just give her a chance to bond with her baby and see how she goes. She might change her mind but she might feel even more strongly about not wanting you to do it. Breast feeding is a very private and very intimate experience that creates a huge mother-child bond. I would probably be jealous for somebody bonding with my child like that too. It really is up to her and you to sort out but it is her decision at the end of the day. Show her some respect when the child comes by backing off and don't you dare do it behind her back without her permission- that would be a massive betrayal of trust.

I would tell you that your stepping over the line of friendship. And to mind your own.
