Ok. i realize a lot of people have a problem with the fact that my friend emailed nude pics of his ex to her friends. However, you don't know the whole story. His ex destroyed him financially, emotionally, and mentally. She is an evil person. I am not a mean, vengeful person myself by nature, but sometimes people need to taught a lesson when they mess with people like that. He does regret emailing her pics to people, but he just wants to know if it was illegal to do so. Not if it's morally wrong, but legally wrong. Thank you.

Yep. Transmitting porngraphic images over the internet, depending on where they originated and where they were sent could, in some jurisdictions, result in anything from a fine all the way up to prison time and required listing on a sex offender registry.

Also, the ex has a fairly solid case for suing him for defamation and other offenses, and I'd think a jury could see that some harm was done.

Clearly, because he e-mailed the nude pix of her to her friends, he intended to humiliate her. She may very well end up owning a lot of what he has.

Very wrong indeed!

If this young woman wants to she could have her day in court and clean him out again. I personally don't believe that revenge works for anyone. It can actually bring terrible repercussions that just make life hellish.

Your friend may have been very angry but sending his ex's nude pic's is just about the lowest thing a man can do. Imagine what other people think of him for stooping so low? Can he recover his good reputation after this? If he gets cought he could land up in prison or on some register. Not good!

Please, if you like your friend, tell him he has to get over this relationship and if he gets the urge to do something stupid in future he should visit his GP to arange a talking therapy to help get over the relationship.

If one of them was underage and the other was above the age 18 then it could be illegal.

He can't take any legal action either since he gave them willingly.

Sorry that sucks.... Your right his chick needs to be schooled.

Yes most definitely....!!! As a rejected ex this could be seen as (and surely is) domestic abuse...and is a form of harassment and even stalking...He is out for revenge at being dejected...A person like that is a threat..Who knows what he will consider is enough to feel himself avenged...And your approval of such measures ....leaves me worried....

Vengeance is a sin according to many religions. I believe that any form of vengeance is wrong.

They're both bad people.

well, if she gave the pictures to him i don't think it is

because technically it's his property

but it would be illegal if he emailed it to minors or if she is a minor
