the 5's are fine. At1 my son was wearing 8's, hes always had big feet. You might try buying some of the softer leather soled shoes, like robez (or the just as nice knock offs they sell at ttarget) for indoors. At 1 kinds need to spend alot of time shoeless so the arch of the foot develops properly. Good luck

It's not a waste of money at all. Our daughter was walking at just 9 months old- and she is now 13 months and wearing a size 5 also. She is really a size 4.5 but they don't do 1/2 sizes.

I think you did fine. The pediatrician told me that every 2 months you should have their feet remeasured because it takes that long for them to get into a new size. It was that way with our son 10 years ago as well.

Our baby is always shoesless inside- and almost always in just a diaper. It's only when we go out that she needs her shoes- or when she is outside in the front yard with us. Backyard- she is shoeless.

Good luck to you!

I don't think one year olds need shoes. It's pretty much a waste of money until they're in preschool.

All they do is pull them off anyways.
