Shouldn’t they be called the “Anti-Democratic “ party ?

Thank god I'm a rich Progressive Neo Con who drives his Hummer to Walmart and don't need to steal from the taxpayers to get a pay raise .
I'm sure glad the price of gas is staying high because I have Exxon Mobil stock .

They constantly use subliminal messages to try to improve the way they are seen by the voters. Democratic party is meant to associate them with democracy. They once were the party who's color was red and the Repubs were blue, this had to be change due to the fact that they felt that it made it appear as though they were associated with communism. I believe that they changed it in the the 70s, didn't help though.

If it’s your objective to help the Democratic social gathering by using skill of displaying what ignorant racists Republicans are, then you're doing an high quality interest. Insulting the intelligence of African individuals by assuming that we don’t understand something with reference to the racial political historic past of the two maximum intense activities in the process the final many years is particularly risky to alleged Republican outreach efforts. every time that I see nonsense like this question, i'm extra beneficial confident that the Republican social gathering is fully clueless and a lost reason.

A two-party system is doomed from the beginning to eventually become one absolutely corrupt system. The representation of the vastness of all the needs of human governance cannot not be narrowed down to two parties. Swing voting becomes a necessity because individuals find both good and evil with the former party and likewise with the latter. Any imaginary lines defining certain differences between the two are slowly eroded, so good becomes evil while evil becomes good. -O Dogg

No. I believe in Democracy...saying that just because Democrats want a strong central government and comparing that to the radical ideas that make up Marxism is absolutely ludicrous. How is a strong central government anti- democracy? Democrats have always been Democrats and I we are not changing our party's name based on something that is untrue.

As many others have said, it's always been the Democratic Party. And the name is appropriate since it connotes voting power in the hands of the people. "Republican" is also appropriate to its party, since whether you want to admit it or not, the party and its policies are continually controlled by the social and economic elite.

As you are just a common ignorant republican, let me educate you. There once was the Democratic-Republican party. Then, it broke off into two different parties. That is how they were born.
And for the record, you are just repeating mindless, and frankly, baseless spews you've heard over and over again from the same people of your ilk.

1) democrat is a noun. democratic is an adjective. republican is both a noun and an adjective.
2) marxism/socialism have nothing to do with democracy. if a group of people vote for socialism, it's still democracy. if they vote for libertarian freedom, it's democracy. democracy has no claims about economic systems.

It's ALWAYS been the Democratic Party lol. Boy there's some real Einsteins online today. When you are talking about one of them or a group of them you say "Democrat" or "Democrats." When speaking of the party it's the Democratic Party. Lesson over, time for dinner.

It's been that way ever since it began.
Why does the Republican party call themselves the patriotic party when all they do is hurt America and abandon citizens?

it's always been the Democratic Party...it's legal name since it's beginning. It is the Republican's who have, unfortunately, become the anti-democratic, headed for fascist, party..... abandoning habeus corpus, passing the patriot act, conducting warrentless wiretapping, etc.
