I think I liked the Acers you had in your other question.
Either would work great, I would keep the money and get the less expensive one but I am cheap.

Core 2 Duo 1.6 or 2GHz will beat the Centrino all over the place so they simply don't compare. Not that the Centrino is bad its fine is just wont compare to the Core 2s. And if you are buying NEW get Vista over XP it will work better and safer and you won't need to upgrade the OS as soon. (I will get tons of arguments over that but with a new machine, why get the outdated OS?)

Just to add some confusion

(Or the other ones you listed earlier) This is just another "shopping place for you".

Now don't misunderstand, I am not an Acer fan BUT the laptops they have out in this class are good and for the dollars spent are hard to beat. I own two HP's two Compaqs (they are the same these days HP is Compaq) and bought my wife an Acer. She won't even let me touch it, so I use it when she is not looking ;) !

You should buy a Toshiba Satellite M65-S9092. It comes with a 60-day trial of MS Works. It also has 1GB of memory, an 80GB hard drive, and an Intel Centrino processor. It is great for Uni work, essays, presentations, and many other things as well.

call a million-800-Get-Dell, they might build you one suitable over the telephone. in case you qualify for the popular account, money could be as low as $25 a month. i offered the laptop i'm utilising suitable now from them. Its a Dell Inspiron 1501, and it will do the chores you defined. the backside cost for this one is $499, and the only I even have has the DVD burner, WIFI, and the actual existence exhibit. I advise going for the prolonged guarantee. With those varieties of extras, my month-to-month money are purely 30 greenbacks a month!
