Some of the best actors and actresses in today's television have started out on stage. Also, you're wrong about the singing thing. I have performed in 10 different productions and have not needed to sing once.

I don't know of any schools in Oshkosh, Wisconsin that have what you're looking for, but I have a few tips for being a good actor.

1.Practice, practice, practice. Whether it's on stage or in front of the camera, you need to practice a lot because chances are, you're not gonna get your character spot on the first time. I encourage you to take part in your drama class because that can really help you develop your acting experience.

2. When you step into the shoes of the character you're playing, you are no longer you. You are someone else. You live a different life. You think differently. You make different choices. Do not let any of your own personality show through your character's. Develop a completely different person, and stay that character until you stop playing your role.

3. Focus. If you're not concentrating, you're probably gonna screw up your lines. Pay attention to what other actors are doing around you and react like your character should. Don't just stand there and then start acting when it's time for your character to talk.

4. Think about the setting of the play, and act like you live in that time and place.

5. Read and reread the script. You can gain better understanding of whatever you're performing if you read it again and again.

Anyway, good luck with your acting and have fun!

Telll ya what, you cant become an actress with someone. It is too competitive a business for that. The first time one of you gets cast and the other doesnt--good bye friendship. Better if you seek it separately so you can remain friends. Knock off the put down of the stage Cause the stage is the only available way for you to learn acting until you get into professional schools. Take school drama and be in all the school plays, even the musicals, if you don't sing, there are usually small non singing roles. I don;t know what kind of schools you are talking about. Performing arts high schools, professional schools, colleges, what? If I find the school you will have to do the contacting and info gathering. a couple of tips on being a good actor. Never be too good to do a very small role. Never be too good to learn something new.

You need an education. Take the theater classes at school, it may seem stagey but its a start. Find classes at a local community college and get involved with community theater.

Be prepared for rejection. You hear how "so and so was walking down the street and a producer said I'll put you in a movie!" Its a bunch of hogwash. You'll find most professional actors have a good education with them.

Sounds like your wanting to be famous and not actresses, there is a difference. Famous is like Paris Hilton, an actress is like Catherine Zeta Jones, see the difference?

Best of luck in what you chose.
