The first question is simple, but true.
Communism is a philosophical branch of socialist theory. It is not a step-by-step plan of action, but a way of looking at the world and social interaction, and a set of values and goals that Communists work to achieve. It is a viable political force all over the world, and not exactly the scary red monster the American cultural elites would have you believe.
Did you know the first transsexual Parliamentarian in Europe, Vladimir Luxuria of Italy, is a member of the Communist Party? She doesn't have a threatening mustache or authoritarian designs, either.
Break down the negative narrative.

all communists are socialists, but not all socialists are technically communists. communism is an arm of socialism, but to be honest with you i don't see a whole lot of difference between the two. communists and socialists are basically people who refuse to just leave people alone to live their own lives, and want to run everything either because they are evil or because they mistakenly think they know what's good for people. they urinate all over freedom and laugh while they're doing it. it's dispicable.
and yes, communism still exists all right. cuba is communist. china is communist. venezuela is now communist. and socialism is making great strides in many countries, including the u.s., and as i previously stated, there's not a whole lot of difference between communism and socialism.

Communism leaves no choice but Socialism. Socialism is for the common folk of a socialist country and does not require that you use what it has to offer.

Good Question.
There's not that much difference between them.
The Soviet Union was Socialist, and Stalin put over 20 Million of his own people to death.
And yet, Democrats think they want to be Socialist.
The Goal of the Democrat Party is a Socialist Nation.
Government will Rule.
And Democrats will be the Government.

Communism implies totalitarianism (total government control) whereas socialism does not. I think this is a fair assessment.
