How does the volums of a gas relate to the composition of an unknown?? im so lost.....

By the ideal gas law, pV=nRT. Since P andT are extensive variables (you set them), Then V and n, the number of moles, are proportional to each other. You can also weight the gas, and from that, find the mole weight of the unknown.
