125km/60min = 100km/ xmin
x = 48 min
80km/60min = 100km / ymin
y = 75min
75 min - 48 min = 27 MIN SAVED

If you are traveling at 125 km/hr. Divide 1 by 125 and you find the h/km or the part of an hour per km (The time in hours to travel one km) multiply that by 60 and you get the number of minutes per km, 48. At .8 minutes per km for 100 km that is 48 minutes.
Do the same for 80 km/hr. 1/80 km/hr = .0125 hrs/km
multiply by 60 min/hr converts to .75 minutes per km. So at 80 km / hr the trip would have taken 75 minutes.
You can then calculate the time saved by subtraction.
What I used is often called the factor label method.

0.62137 Mi in a Km
100 Km * 1 hr/125km = .8 hour = .8 *60 = 48 minutes
100Km * 1 hr/80km = 1.25 of an hour = 1.25 *60 = 75
75 - 48 = 27 mins

Do you mean, what is the difference in the travel times?
At 125 km, it takes 100 / 125 = 0.8 hours = 48 minutes
At 80 km, it takes 100 / 80 = 1.25 = 75 minutes
The difference is 27 minutes.

It would take you 4/5ths of hour (48 minutes going 125 km/h) or it would take you a hour and a forth of a hour (1 hour and 15 minutes going at 80 km/h)
Take the difference between the two to find your answer...
(27 minutes)
