Hello Team: Outstanding progress, i carefully read all your answers, honestly i don't see any that deserves "Thumb Down". You all have good inputs. I am so proud working in such dynamic group. And you R R your answer brought tears to my eyes, tears of joy i should say.
What a brilliant idea, to use lyrics from our favorite performer whom been giving us hints for a long time. How about this one can any one guess which group?

just a short sample:

Hey you! out there in the cold, getting lonely getting old can you feel me.
Hay u.................
Hay U! don't help them to bury the light..! Don't give in without a fight.
.............................
Hay U! out there on the road always doing what you're told, can u help me
............
Hay U! don't tell me there's no hope at all.....
Together we stand
Divided we fall

Have a nice trip!

You are very right, political partisanship can not solve US problems.
If we use genuine HUMANITARIAN philosophy everything will be fairly easy to resolve.
John Lennon put it best in his song : Imagine!
A world without Borders
A World without Hate
A World without Kings to die for.

Imagine there's no heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today

Imagine there's no countries,
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace

You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope some day you'll join us
And the world will be as one

Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world

You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope some day you'll join us
And the world will live as one

My, that's a pretty big order to fill. Let's see:

Hunger. Well, this is an interesting problem that the world seems to be facing. I read an article the other day (can't remember where) that pointed to the fact that when it comes to world hunger it is literally either feast or famine. Well off countries like those in Europe and the United States (especially the U.S.) seem to be on the "feast" side of things while poor and third world countries are on the "famine" side. What does this mean? Well, to me it means that countries with higher standards of living and higher wages and job availability seem to be able to AFFORD more food along with other essentials. Consequently, we tend not to spend on NECASSITY and instead go for DESIRE. Why is America becoming more overweight? Well, because we CAN AFFORD TO! I think that private charities are the best approach to our AIDING in helping to relieve this problem, but until we actually get everyone to care enough to donate, it'll be a slow process. Ultimately, though, it rests on the economical situation of a region.

AIDS is something that I've been doing a little something to help combat for a few years now. For the past 4 years I've been buying about $200 to $300 worth of AIDS Awareness jewelry and passing it out to random people and friends. Last year I bought a bunch of those Necklaces that Aldo designed for Youth AIDS ( http://www.youthaids-aldo.org/ )and this Year I've purchased stuff from http://www.until.org , which has bracelets and other jewelry. I think that raising awareness is the best approach to this problem.

Poverty is something that I feel only education can heal. With more education comes more opportunity. We must work harder to give the youth our nation a better chance at getting a better education while still teaching them that they can only depend on themselves. Independence and a desire to succeed is often all that is needed to break out of poverty and move forward in life. I was born to a poor single mother who taught me just that. Today, I make over six figures a year. Dedication, if we could give that away for free, we'd be in business.

The Nuclear Issue is indeed a large and looming problem. Now more than ever rogue nations are going against the UN and seeking nuclear technology. The idea of a nuclear weapon in a desperate state's possession is indeed scary. But what can we do to help the situation? I think that working with other moderate states is our best bet. For both a positive and negative I can use the example of Iran. Good: Russia was coming to the negotiation table offering Iran the chance to build its nuclear reactors on Russian soil, under the watch of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and to supply Iran with the energy it needed until then. Bad: Iran isn't taking the opportunity and continues to defy the UN despite sanctions and warnings. However, more good is coming from it. It's getting to the point that many in this world are realizing the danger that Iran poses if it acquires nuclear weapons and, in response, other nations besides our own are stepping up their responses (i.e. France). Maybe, if it comes to it, we won't be the ones rushing in or dropping the bombs this time. But, let's pray to God it doesn't come to that.

Wow, that's a lot!!

There is no solution to world poverty, some countries just have nothing to offer, some countries promote poverty with welfare so the collectors have no ambitions to get off of their butts and find a job.

Aids: Start with eliminating the primary causes of AIDS, impose the death penalty on any person that currently has AIDS and continues to have sex with people that do not have it, they are killing other people (murder) so the death penalty is appropriate.

Global Warming: Deny Al Gore the right to fly in his Jumbo Jet pass a law that he install Solar Panels and disconnect his electricity.

Nuclear War: Limit the amount of Nuclear weapons in the world, we can start with the US. Allow countries such as Iraq, Iran and Syria to have US Supplied nuclear weapons, we wil send them, if they can catch them before they hit ground they can keep them and we will have reduced our supply.

Financial and social gaps are necessary, I can not think of one person that would want to spend his time and money getting an education so that he can make more money that would agree that someone else that does nothing is entitled to be an equal. This is NOT a world problem.

A world where everyone is equal in financial and social standing is not a free world, it is a communist world, I would rather be in a competitive world where I am responsible for my own health/wealth and social standing.

Some of these are National problems but most are international. As for the international, We need to put differences aside and pull together as an "international community". We SHOULD be able to find common ground on all these issues. I think we need to pull together now more than ever before.
These problems are not going away and not going to fix themselves....

My solution is found on a web page

about a guy who received a miracle and now wants to help others

The page is found @ http://www.angelfire.com/fl3/622/MickeyMantle.html

and is just too inspirational I hope all who read it will help the author spread the story and his

Act of Random Kindness or ARK theory

which is do something nice for a complete stranger and when that person thanks you just tell them to do something equally as nice for someone else and so on and so forth until everyone is doing nice things for everyone else

And when you read that page you should be moved to help author get more exposure for his efforts

Thank You

I'm not smart enough to have solutions for all the world's problems, but I would strongly urge you to read Thom Hartmann's book, "The Last Hours of Ancient Sunlight". He not only confronts the problems of the world today, but also offers surprising solutions based on things our ancient ancestors took for granted. You will be amazed, informed, and renewed! -RKO- 09/15/07

The greatest threat to the human race is overpopulation. There are just too many people on our planet, they are using up all the world's resources including land, oil, metals and water, and unrestrained breeding is making the situation worse. The rich countries must do all that they can to provide birth control to the billions of people in countries with poverty and high birth rates. Because of political considerations, the Bush administration has stopped funding these programs.

China is working on the problem, but in India, Bangladesh, Mexico, South America, and some African countries the birth rate is way too high. Enough with the uncontrolled breeding!

People usally come together when they have a comman problem or enemy. I would invite more countries to get involved with space exploration to give us a comman problem and a comman goal.
