Depends. Cold Stone offers a verity of flavors, a chance to make you own creation, and a high quality Ice Cream.
Dairy Queen offers innovated snacks, smaller and cheaper products, quick service, and Soft Serve Iced Milk.
If you want quick, simple, and affordable, DQ
If you want Unique, Premium, and pricey but worth it, CS.

Never tried Cold Stone, but heard that place is good and haven't have Dairy Queen since it went left the nerby town I lived in since, what, the early 90's or something. So, really, I prefer to sit at home and eat a nice pint of Ben & Jerry's. Haagen Daaz is good, too.

Cold Stone's prices are a "little" seep, but they do serve you THE BEST real ice cream. I went t DQ once when I was a kid, and I was not impressed at all with the ice cream there. The stuff you get on sale at your local Safeway tasted MUCH better!!!
I hope that over the years that DQ has changed. Nothing personal, but I will still be loyal to CS, B&J, Baskin Robins, but not necessarily DQ.
Hopw this helps. Thanks for getting me in the mood for ice cream now!!!!
