After you reinstalled Windows .... did you reinstall all the drivers for your hardware?

You need to reinstall the Video driver, the Sound Card Driver, the mother board drivers that support USB, SATA, etc.

You need to reinstall the Ethernet and Wireless Adapter Drivers.

Drivers are small programs that let the operating system communicate with hardware.

Answer For Windows XP
Start > Run > Type "Control Panel" (without quotes) > Hit Okay
Network Configuration
You will see the wireless internet connection listed

(IF GREY)
Right Click Enable

(IF BLUE)
RIGHT CLICK REPAIR

If you see the wireless icon in the bottom right of your taskbar... (by the time) right click on it and their should be an option to select the wireless network.

If you see the wireless network you are trying to connect to you should be connected to the internet through that connection. If it doesn't connect you need to give more specifics.

Operating System
Wireless Router
Wireless Internet you are connecting to
Who Set this Up
As much information about the equiptment as you can possibly come up with :)

The biggest issue with XP was its lack of NIC support drivers. You need to look at the NIC and get the make, model, and any numbers on it, then to got the website of the NIC manufacturer and download the driver (from a computer that does have internet), then save to a CD or jump drive, then install on the problem pc.

IF you internal, you mean on board, then do what i suggested, but look for the make, model, etc for the mobo.
