There is a long history of things that have happened with this icon of America's love affair with raising high up in our esteem someone who can run fast, play ball good, and may have no character or brain because we have encouraged them not to develop it, just run fast, play the game good, then they get accustomed to the life of being above the law, get lots money, have no responsibilities, then when the fall comes, they are middle aged, too late to develop brain or character, and they become a sports has been low life. This has happened to an endless parade of victims of this worthless part of our civilization & OJ is nust one of the more prominent in the parade.

The latest is that because of the circumstances by which OJ's former wife died, along with her lover, what passed for police investigation, and the trials from that ... OJ was not held criminally liable for the deaths, but was held financially liable There is a book coming out "If I did it" by OJ regarding that disgraceful affair, in which the money is supposed to go to one of the families OJ being held responsilbe for ruining, and any notoriety at this time will help raise interest in OJ and book sales, even though the money go not to him, and not everyone is happy that the book is coming out.

Part of America's love affair with sports stars who have no character or brains, and with Hollywood people whose only qualifications is they are eye candy, some can act, some can make good movies, but otherwise they are not people we would like to have as friends, because not only lack of character, but have a disregard for morality that borders on them being lower than a Geico Nethanderal ... apparently there is a thriving trade in their garments and other possessions.

For example, in one auction, Hitler's under-pants were sold for over one million dollars. So OJ was in Las Vegas allegedly for one purpose and he got informed that allegedly his former garments were part of a source of sports memorabilia being sold at a Hotel, so he gets himself "invited" there by one of the "customers". In the hotel room he points at things "that's mine" ... "that's mine" etc. & gets in a shouting match with the people in the hotel room. Apparently "his mine" were really sold by his now deceased mother to raise money to live on because her boy (OJ) was failing to provide for her in the style to which she thought she was due. so OJ did not have legal title to these former garments.

During the course of the shouting match, several members of OJ's "entourage" drew guns, to enforce OJ departure with all the "that's mine" stuff. This is Las Vegas hotel, cameras all over the place because of the gambling, so the police now studying the footage to try to figure out who all went in & out of that room, who were "packing" (a gun), whether or not it "concealed" (issue of whether they have a license to carry a gun that way).

If it is ruled, by the courts, that the OJ memorabilia was legally obtained (from dead mother of OJ) then OJ is guilty of robbery.

* Robbery is when you steal from someone in person
* Burglary is when you steal from someone when they not there
* Breaking & Entering is when you get into the place to do the robbery or burglary by improper means
* Assault with a deadly weapon is when you use a gun in the robbery
* Organized crime is when there's a bunch of you involved in a criminal conspiracy to do the crime

So potentially OJ and his "entorage" and whoever let them into the hotel room, can all be charged with a string of crimes & go to jail for several years, but because of OJ celebrity status, and his record of making a mockery of past courts, thanks to various high priced lawyers, the Las Vegas police and District Attorney are making sure they have all the evidence, and being closed mouthed to the news media, before they formerly charge OJ and entourage and "friend" with whatever.

1. He is charged with 12 felonies. 2. One of those involves the use of a deadly weapon in commission of a crime (armed robbery). If convicted on that alone, his sentence on that charge is automatically doubled. 3. He is also alleged to have said to his companions: "No one leaves this room", confirmed by an audio tape from one of those being held against his will in the room. That is unlawful detention. The same as kidnapping in Nevada. Right now he could wind up with 20-40 years in prison if convicted. And he will have to serve 70% of his adjudged sentence before his first parole hearing. This is the old West. Not the Peoples Republic of California!
