kiterya, how do you know that you are 100% black? because in slavery times the master slept with there slaves.why do you think black people come in so many shades and colors.al black people are beatiful light ,dark,brown etc....

Because they don't realize that they've been here a couple of centuries and somewhere along the line there was some native American, white, and other thing's that were mixed into the pot.....

Traditionally this is the way that people have thought about race in the United States: either white or black. People who had even one black ancestor were considered black. Perhaps those who consider themselves 100% black are making a statement about that.

Race is not a genetic thing, it's a social thing. In other words, society decides who is of what race and what that means.

I say I'm 100% black because I feel pride when I say it. Most black people I know always try to claim they're mixed with all these other things (like its a bad thing to be mostly black). So thats why I claim it!

Everyone has descendent's from Africa. I'm just an African with a recessive white gene. Let me guess...you enjoy finding the differences in people instead of the similarities?

Man originated from Africa so really we all have African ancestry.... Just evaluation made different developments in different climates as we spread across the world..... (the world was not like it is now and the land was more connected.

Most folks don't take the time to research their history. Even in you are the 'darkest of black' or the 'palest of white' you probably have 'something else' in your family/background/history. '
