I have this friend who used to be really fun and stuff. She's still fun, but she's different. She started wearing makeup and really caring about her appearance when before, she was more careless and crazy. She also likes this guy, and he's like, all she'll talk about, and i promised her that i won't go out with him if he asks me cuz she thinks he might like me. But now, i think that i might like him and i don't want to tell her cuz she'll be crushed, but i don't know what to do if he does like me and asks me out.

For starters you can't make someone else like you just because you like them. That seems to be the case with your friend. The guy didn't pay attention to her so she started wearing makeup and dressing better. He still doesn't seem to care. If he asks you out, I would ask her first if she is OK with that.
Otherwise, you are risking losing her as your friend, especially since you promised not to date him. He may not ask either of you out, and you have been worrying for nothing.

Don't be 2 faced to your friend. But, first how old are you. That depends alot on the answer also. If you are young, hey there is plenty of times a guy will come up to you and want to date you. If he is going out with your friend and now he wants to go out with you, he is a player. He's testing his ground.
