You can buy metal epoxy or a marine puddy that will fix the hole. You can get them at walmart in the automotive section.

I had a puncture hole in my aluminum skiff. It was large enough to fit a small machine srew through it so I got two wide washers (that fit the little bolt), applied JB weld to both sides (inside and out), then tightened the screw with the washers on both ends. The JB Weld was forced into the hole and the crevaces and I now have a water-tight seal. Although 90% of her rivets still leak. Oh well. There is a type of paint you can use to coat the bottom of your boat that is durable and will stop the small leaks but I can't remember the name of it.

JB weld does work for small holes, but not for larger ones. You don't say what size hole or where it's located at. You can have a welding shop weld it. But welding aluminum is for a pro to do. You can make an over sized plate of aluminum a little larger than the hole, mix up some jb weld and use it to seal the plate in place, you can rivet a new patch in place, but you'd need to use a good epoxy or jb weld as a sealer. There are lot's of ways to do it.

NO JB weld, go to hardware store or welding supply & get a aluminum welding rod. Smaller diameter. Wire brush off the area, try to hammer hole closed, use a blow torch heat up boat & rod & flow the melted aluminum rod in the crack/hole

What type and where is the hole? Is it a puncture hole? Is a seam leaking? Is it above or below the waterline? What is the hole's diameter? Is the hole smooth or is it fractured?

I have had great luck with JB Weld. Just make sure the surface is super clean and rough it up a bit.
