Mankind, with or without a mind.
What are your opinions and thoughts on this statement? (Hopefully you have a mind to decipher those thoughts!) ;)

Humans have a mind that's just advanced enough to ponder how advanced it is, but not yet advanced enough to realize just how UNadvanced it is. We may be smarter than the other animals on this planet, but we're a long, LONG ways from anything that could be called the pinnacle of evolution and development. We've made some decent advances in the sciences but as a species, we're still pretty immature. Humans are capable of rational thought, but most don't seem to use it nearly often enough.

Its evolution. Like they say, the only thing we can expect to stay the same, is that everything changes. Like an animal evolving when the climent changes, and they need to change to survive, or like the jelly fish that got separated from the sea, and evolved to lose their stinger, because of the lack of predators.
Humans have no natural predators anymore, and because of that we have no need to grow, and become better, so over time our race as a whole begins to devolve to the point of living, but not having to fight for it.
Our species just keeps getting larger, and larger, and less, and less of us have to do anything to really go through our whole lives. People continue to keep having as many children as they can, and at younger ages all the time, so these kids grow up with the same slack their parents have. And what happens when we get to the point where people don't have anything to do? that's when they start looking for things to pass time: drugs, wars, sex... any stupid thing to get to the end of our lives as soon as possible.
Sadly being "on the top" has made us stupid, and weak... so do we have a mind?
Kind of. I would say a good 70% of human beings really dont contribute to our present, or future, and we are only hanging on by the few of us who take pride in being smart, and build towards somethign to better our lives as a whole.
All anyone can do is work towards making the world a better place. Even one person can make a difference, and if we all try together we might be able to bring back respect to the human name.

Man.Kind?no i don't think so.mind is fluid motion of electrical energy's so a single mind of man would be preposterous to even conceive .the Borg on star trek have that group consciousness to a degree.human minds thoughts can manifest into reality and the reality's I see don't seem to be kind at all.sometimes creative though.in many peoples actions and thoughts.
were 98% chimpanzee DNA in us so i can see where we get all this weirdness.i just wonder why the other 2 % space alien dna doesnt help us much.since i am sure they worked on mixing there dna in chimps to make humans for a couple of days before they left to go back home to there planet.so the actual mind of man is a combination of alien and chimp so the answer would have to be. well, I dont know.
and as to do I hopefully have a mind.well i dont know that answer .sorry i cant help you more then this but i am getting tired now and must retire to my lair.But i will leave you with a warning. the space aliens come to take our children to be their slaves and pets. thats why they made us.to be their breeders .they mind control people into not remembering them taking them in broad daylight.

I don't agree with this statement. This statement appears to refer to mankind as a whole, not singling out certain men. Look at what mankind has done; communication to technology to politics and ethics. Everything we have is intelligent and must've came from a mind.

a subconscious mind that is so strong and very well controlling and protective, but that we don't even know about.
so I would say as the conscious mind, that we think we are using to drive us, is not really doing what we think or like to think is doing, that yes and simply mankind with or without mind.
any way one that we are not aware of is just like none.
why do i feel now that I am talking about something else other than what you wanted or asked for, mind or no mind, see!!!

Mankind as a whole, I believe, is without an intelligent mind. but it does have a mind.

i think it depends on the situation. there have been moments in history that show how man just rushes into things without thinking and only react in instict. But we also have moments that show a complete stuggle of thought.
So...it depends.

people are like turkeys. alone, each is reasonably intelligent, but the larger the group, the lower the intelligence.
