Yes, although they probably don't think of it that way. A politician's main objective once he is elected is getting re-elected. This means he is going to cater to and advocate for the people who gave the most money to his campaign fund. Only when we get serious about campaign funding reform will any of this change.

Virtually all democrats and most republicans are. Democrats have to spin everything because the truth would destroy them. Many Republicans are just there for the power. Virtually all of them become corrupted by needing help from the leaderships of their party to become anything. Democrat leadership has an iron grip on its members and any deviation mean the end of their careers. That is why virtually all democrats are very corrupt. Virtually all republicans are at least somewhat corrupted. Term Limits

I don't believe that politicians are corrupt. At least not in the stereotypical sense of the word. I believe that in order to secure a seat in a public office many politicians owe people favors for helping them secure that seat. Especially with the costs associated with running a presidential campaign. I believe that most politicians are paying back the financial support of their closest constituents.

They are involved in a system that is mind numbingly inefficient, and wasteful. Once elected there major concern is getting re-elected. They cater to the largest campaign contributors. They aren't there to make things better, and even if they wanted to they couldn't..Do we really need all these laws they diddle with constantly. The answer is yes if you are rich or a large corp. Isn't it becoming obvious they are worthless and we don't need them

Let me just say this: I'd rather have an intellectual and witty hobo run our country, rather than a Harvard straight-D student with money.
