Actually Sarah, I stand for the truth. And I am still waiting for Bush to apologize for his lies.

No, everybody had different opinions about him dragging us into the war. Most people didn't know what to think! They thought if our president wanted war, then they would just go along with it because he "supposedly" knows what he's doing.

You know, it's so funny. I see SO many people that say, 'I never supported the war. I was against it from the start.'
And yet, for 2 years after 9-11, I didn't hear so much as a peep from the opposition. I felt like I was on an island. I wonder...did the moderates just NEVER express thier apprehensions until it became socially acceptable? Or...did a great many of them change thier minds? I'm guessing that they changed thier minds.
I'm telling ya...I was HATED for a couple of years for questioning the war. No one could concieve that Bush lied about the W.M.D.'s, even when I would pull out the U.N. reports. It's a crazy country, my long-haired friend. Too many cattle...the wolves are getting fat.
Speaking of which, I saw a great quote on here today. It went something like,'In a democracy comprised of 5 sheep and 4 wolves...the sheep are still dinner.'
Except I messed it up. It was much more clever....

i know i didnt support the iraq war when it started. in fact i didnt support it at all up until about late 2006. i now do support it because i believe our nation is in a crisis and we need to be able to finish the job in iraq. if we pulled out of iraq before the job was done it could cause untold damage to america.

Were you living in a cave in 2003? There were hundreds of thousands of protesters in the streets against the invasion in America and millions all over the world.

I start with a recognition of our US governmental structure. Our Congress had the required votes to go.
In fact, I recall during one Kerry-Bush debate them both speaking of the Iraq invasion. Both supported one.
But I also was alive and in many circles then and now. And I have observed, with the passing of time, the hurrahs have fallen silent.
So, yes. I believe there was American support for the Iraq invasion. Whether you like it and want to remember it is your personal choice.

i didn't.
however, many did because bush kept telling everyone it was "very likely" iraq had WMD's. he neglected to mention that this statement was intuition based. apparently, going to war just "seemed like a good idea at the time" to him.
