School science/Bell jar model lung
http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/School_science/Bell_jar_model_lung
How the Model Works
The cavity inside the bell jar is airtight.

As the diaphragm is pulled down, the volume of the cavity increases. This causes the pressure to fall. Air rushes in to equalise the pressure causing the balloons to inflate.
As the diaphragm is pushed up, the volume of the cavity decreases, the pressure rises, and the air rushes out of the balloons causing them to deflate.
This is a great project for classes studying health or for those students learning fluids in science.

I suggest that you really find something that you enjoy. Try a search on the web titled science fair. If you want to do tadpoles, how about how temperature and/or pH affect them. Advise, if you are serious about college, especially high prestige and high dollar ones, make your project something that you can add research to year after year because by the time you are ready for college you will have a project with five years of research. This might be an avenue for financial support. A word of caution, because you have a living experiment, the paperwork required for transport of your project can be overwhelming and time consuming. Start early.

Hm. Tadpoles are an interesting idea. My friend did a project that didn't hurt them though, and she didn't get accepted into the fair.
Anyway, here are some ideas.

HOW DOES THE temperate of water AFFECT THE activity OF tadpoles?

HOW DOES THE size of a tank AFFECT THE growth OF tadpoles?

HOW DOES THE number of tadpoles AFFECT THE growth OF tadpoles?

HOW DOES THE weather AFFECT THE study habits OF 3rd graders?

HOW DOES THE color of a word AFFECT THE name OF the color? ( I don't know how to phrase this. But say you write the word "GREEN" but you write it in pink. Will the person say that the word is green or pink?)
