My female is full of eggs and I have her and the male together in a 10 gallon tank. He made a bubble nest but the female doesn't do anything. She swims away from him and her fins are really torn up and I'm afraid if I keep her in there too long he'll kill her. Help please

well, it sounds like you didn't condition them seperately before the actuall spawning process

The female doesn't have to do much anyway, the male will wind himself around her to make her release the eggs, you might even have already eggs in the bubblenest

i would take her out, and heal her, and then condition them again for spawning

read the following article, it explains everything step by step

hope that helps
Good luck

A couple of thoughts:

1. Do you have something like leaves floating on the water to build the nest under?

2. Do you have a place for the female to hide? (Sometimes having an extra female helps)

3. Have you fed the fish really really well beforehand so they don't eat the eggs?

well you have to put them in a different tank and then move the eggs in a different tank and you should be fine until the baby's are old enough to live alone until then find them homes and do research that's all i can tell you now.

someone didnt do research or condition.

If it hasnt worked now, it wont and you can potentially kill her, take her out as she isnt ready for breeding.

learn how to breed before breeding as your tank set-up is probably wrong and they arent conditioned right.
