Hi
Absolutely!!! There's Christianity and then there's Churchianity. They are miles apart. I believe in doing unto others as I would have them do unto me, and I treat everyone in my space with the same respect that I want to be treated with. Spread your love and respect around the universe and there is nothing else to do. All of these organized religions are nothing more than judgements against others who have different beliefs. If you believe in yourself, you believe in God. No building (church, temple synagogue etc)or particular belief system can change that.

Your question assumes there is a correct and incorrect way to believe. But all religious belief is by definition founded on faith, and as such there is no way to _know_ that what you believe is true. If we _could_ prove the existence of a god, and also prove that this god was of one particular religion, then yeah, there would be no need for different religions and denominations. (Which is not to say that people still wouldn't believe otherwise, but that's another story.)
Do you believe that Hindus, with their belief in several gods, have an incorrect belief just as you believe your view of a single god with particular characteristics as described in the bible is the correct one? Of course. And they feel the same way towards your beliefs. So who has the truly "correct" belief? No person of faith can say for sure, because if they could, it wouldn't be faith.
I _do_ understand your frustration with religious dogma. More often than not religion causes more harm in the world than good. And the fact that everyone believes that their and only their belief is the true & correct one plays no small part in that. But I would argue that religious dogma and belief are inseparable. As long as you hold some belief in a god or gods, you also hold some belief as to the character of your god(s). Maybe your god is compassionate, maybe he's vengeful. Maybe he's loving, maybe he's angry. Maybe he's strict, maybe he's tolerant. Maybe he's forgiving, maybe he's unforgiving. Two people may claim to believe in the same god, but beliefs are as unique as snowflakes. And as soon as belief enters the public arena in any way, bam, it's a dogma. So the only ways to rid the world of religious dogma, would be either for everyone to keep their religious beliefs to themselves (and most religions all but prohibit this), or to get rid of religions altogether. And while I believe that a world without religions would be far more rational, peaceful and compassionate, I also believe that at this time in our evolution most humans are not yet ready to give up religion. So unfortunately, we're stuck with religion and its divisive dogmas for now.

The problem with organised religion, especially the Western religions, is that it is always a case of "if you aren't in our club, you won't get into Heaven". This is why there are so many agnostics in the world. It's not that they really doubt the existence of God, it's just that they don't know which club to join.

Of course they would be happier, but more important than that they would be saved and free from their sin .The only sin that keeps anyone from recieving the gift of GOD is the sin of unbelief. Also the Bible says that'' GOD is not the author of confusion ''1Cor:14:33 so I believe that anyone who does not have GOD in his life is confused ,religious or not. They are incapable of having an understanding of who HE is, unless HE of course reveals HIMSELF to a person and then that preson believes or recieves that which has been revealed.A person with a ''Dogmatic'' attitude won't recieve the ''TURTH" because they believe the already possess it...

No one can stop anyone, except by force.
It is the nature of man to ask and question before believing. Anyone who forgets this truth is a fool. Man, as opposed to God, is limited and loves to limit for him to be able to tangibly see and define anything.
But it is also in the nature of man, especially lazy ones, to tend to stay stuck only on answers he is comfortable with. As one's energy gets lesser and lesser, the mind narrows down.
Let the questions come! No worries. There are always answers...at least for those who are honestly seeking and believing that there is more to learn.

Yes because ppl kill each other over a fcking unprovable belief. They are basically fighting over, "Im right, your wrong so you die" like on a damn playground.
There should be a religion with a God or many saying: Good people are rewarded after death, Bad people are punished after death. THATS IT. NOTHING MORE. No stories of a savior or people faith being tested. That is unimportant.

Yes it creates confusion. the worst pain of all is that of holding on to something, especially a beleif or dogma, if you hold on to nothing, are free, there'es heaven, your salvation. Its not something that happens after death. The present moment is an orgasm......

Not necessarily, the religious "dogma" you refer to is the basis of our belief system and the faith we believe.

God is discerned through dogma, which is the lingustic articulation of faith.
