but the bigger thing your teacher wants you to learn is this:
if you divide an even number by an even number, the answer is always even.
if you divide an odd number by an even number the answer is always odd - or has a remainder.

I would say no, if she worked an even number of hours she would have made $414 or $416, she worked 207.5 hours. All you do is Divided $415 by 2.
