Pretend like you have a certain amount of money, say you spend $3 and $8 and $2. -3 + -8 + -2 means you spent 13..you are negative 13 in your bank account.

I'm not gonna tell you the answer, just how to figure out the problem.
You can find the answer to this problem by adding the numbers together and adding a negetive sign. For example, 12 + 5 = 17. When you add the negetive signs, you get -12 + -5 = -17.
Good luck!

ignore the minus sign, add them all, then add a minus sign to the answer.
3+8+2 = 13
-3 + -8 + -2 = -13
CAUTION: this shirtcut can be used ONLY if all the numbers u want to add have a minus sign. if u want to add one + and one - , example 5 and -8:
SUBTRACT smaller number from the greater number.
in this case, 8-5=3
add the sign of the GREATER number to the result.
the answer is -3
if u want to add -5 and 8, the answer is 3. (sign of greater number 8 is+)
regards!

Since the three digits all have the same sign, just add them and slap a negative in front.
