I'm nearing 13, and I know what I would want MY mom to do. If you have a good-sized house or backyard that would be great because its gunna be a boy/girl dance kindof thing. Invite all her friends, actually, talk to her 2-3 best friends for advice, who to invite, how to decorate, what songs to play. Get a Dj, some pizza, and cookies. I'm not sure weither or not she would be int o a bday cake with the singing and all that but do what you think is right.
Have some slow dances if she has a boy-friend she can dance with, if shes single right now only have like 4-5 for the entire 2-3 hours. Make sure its somewhat late, maybe 8-10:30 ish. If you need to rent somplace out I don't know what to do about that.
I suggest sending email to the parents, that has all the info., but the parents then tell there kids that they need to go to some (not a party) thing on whatever date at wherever. the more people you tell that its an actual partay the more likely she will find out. Tell her the same thing if its an out-of-the-house party, but if your having the party at your house ask one of the friends you asked for help from to have her over and she'll be picked up at 8.

Hire a kid to be a DJ and download some dance songs. Rent a karoke machine, have a bon fire, rent a projector and have a movie play outside (get a flat, white sheet and spray paint it white so it is nice and stiff and won't blow around in the wind). Kids just want to mingle and talk. Dancing and loud music is your best bet.

Hello,
My daughter just turned 13 and I ask her what did she want. She said, nothing really but I knew that was not true. I ask her to gather a few close friends and rented out place to hang out like a arcade, where she played lazer tag, video games, ate pizza just her and her friends. I hung around to pay the bill but that made her happy. Afterwards it was a movie then a slumber partty. it was simple but I seen her have the best time of her life.

Age 13 was the year I enrolled my girls in a modeling class, where they learned how to pick out proper make up for a young lady, proper dress and pant outfits, how to behave and over course a runway debue, with the whole family. I think they kept two out fits. This was 200 back in the day, but it added to their confidence in an enormous way. Anyway, it was an expensive 1995 present and the focal point of their celebration.(you'd think I entered them in miss teen america, they loved it so much!)

Invite friends, family. A good gift idea would be gift cards to her favorite store and make it a dance party! ;) wish her happy bday from me
