I checked both the blower motor, AND the blower motor Resistor, and both are ok.
what's next (yes, i know the switch is fine, too)
before it started to fail, it worked on only the high setting for a few weeks, sporatically, now nothing on ANY fan speed.

Also, we have the schematic's, but how do determine WHERE a particular item (like a relay) is located, in order to ck it??

fan ND swich are good!

repair manual doesn't show part locations for all parts

its either the fan itself or the switch is bad you can use a ohm meter to test power to fan and power from switch

Get a repair manual and they will have a pictorial diagram with it to help you identify the parts and their location.

Motor brushes could be worn down....
