Bush is not really comparable to Hitler, but since the country is taken such an authoritarian turn under his leadership, there are a few similarities, such as:

Going after external enemies to distract from internal problems, justifying wars by the doctrine of American exceptionalism (Hitler used racial superiority as his war card, but the effect is the same), disregarding acts of the legislature, grabbing power from the legislature through executive decrees and declaring that dissent is unpatriotic.

I can name a few that are blatantly obvious without even resorting to stuff that can't be proven.

Both of them believed in invading other countries through a policy of perpetual aggressive war (nobody with half a brain disputes that fact). Both of them believed in a big government run for the benefit of big corporations. Both of them referred to torture as "enhanced interrogation tactics." Both of them had a propaganda network. Both of them used "terrorist attacks" to gain their power (Hitler burned down the Reichstag; Bush was probably not responsible for 9/11, but it wouldn't surprise me or any other intelligent person if irrefutable evidence were to someday emerge that proved he did, but regardless he used 9/11 to rise to dictator). Both Bush and Hitler believed in unitary executive theories. Both believed in detaining, jailing, and even killing innocent people without trial (Hitler actually did so, Bush passed laws permitting him to do so and has tortured innocent men such as Jose Padilla and then sent them to jail).

Bush has alot in common with Adolph. However, a group of extremists called the Neo-Conservatives are always going to resort to lies, slander, and half-truths if it will protect their fuhrer.
