Why do they want this nation to settle mediocrity?

Why don't they want this nation to be more advanced militarily and economically?

Why do they want countries such as communist China to surpass us as the world's superpower?

Is this all part of their anti-American socialist agenda?

Are liberals for America, or against America?

I'm not advocating that the U.S. should be an empire.

I'm saying that we should always maintain 1st place in front of other nations militarily, economically, etc.

GOD BLESS AMERICA!

Because they think that that is unfair to the rest of the world. And yes, I am starting to believe that this part of an anti-American social agenda. To them, mediocrity is power. Average is power. They think that we owe the rest of the world everything, so we should become weak to make them happy. They might as well move to Iran or China. They seem to be a lot more in line with the liberals' agenda.

They are looking at America from the outside in, not the inside out. They dont see anything the American way, just the UN way. And they put too much faith in the goodness of man. Its like they

Ummm...how do you expect to maintain our super power status? Our politicians don't care about America, they just want to line thier pockets with gold.

The above is an example. When the Pentagon wastes 2.3 TRILLION dollars, America can hardly feel that it has a 'right' to be a superpower. The EU will overtake the U.S., because the checks and balances are SO out of whack in our government. This isn't a 'lib/con' issue. It's an issue for every American to consider.

Whatever.

It's the conservatives who have insured the end of American supremacy.

Their war in Iraq has exposed the United States as a paper tiger in the minds of the rest of the world.

Russia,China,Europe and Asia have began to make alliances, both militarily and economically, that expressly ignore the United States.

Why? Because of conservative stupidity.

Sir,you should be asking this question of those you claim as your leaders.

It is their obstinately grandiose dreams of hegemony which has insured the end our hegemony.

the problem is America HAS become a empire , how can you explain over 800 bases by CBO numbers up to over 1000 bases by other numbers , in over 150+ country's.

the sun never sets on the American empire.

and that is not what this country is about. its supposed to be live and let live, not live my way or ill come over there and force you to live how i want you to

OOOHHHHH !!! The liberals DO WANT THE USA TO BE THE-THE SUPERPOWER !!!!!!!!!!
They just want to "rule the USA and then, post one world government, they can RULE THE WORLD!!!
But first, they must-must fool the Americans into believing that 1. Their way, is the only way, for salvation of the American way of life ( that is before they make DRASTIC CHANGES). 2. The perception that we Americans are the cause of ALL of the troubles / strife / hunger / wars / weather changes / crop failures / ingrown toenails and every else that they deem bad.

I would like the US to be a superpower, we just don't need Bush or other maniacs in charge of that superpower.

You don't give an assault rifle to a serial killer, so you shouldn't give a superpower to Bush.

Settle for mediocrity? I don't consider my country to BE mediocre. I'm sorry that you do.

The days of the superpower were left behind in the '80s.

I can see by the responses that because we have military bases in other countries, providing them the kind of protection and support that they can't provide for themselves, we are imperialistic. How typically lib of them.
