I'm going to interpret high as in
being "happy" and being able
to reflect on everything in one's
life in a good light (even if it wasn't
so good at the time).

There are a few songs that make
me reflect, usually on the deaths
and failed relationships with friends
and family, and no matter what it
makes me appreciate the good aspects
of all the outcomes of what I've done
in my life.

For the most part, the song that
makes me reflect on everything
from friendship to death is a song
I'm not sure many people know.

"The Mixed Tape" by Jack's Mannequin

It's more about a relationship, but
to me, it can be more than that.
It's a good song - they lyrics are lovely.

Listen, no song accurately replicates the feeling of being 'high'; where everything's running through, senses in tune with it, the comedown afterwards. Screamadelica by Primal Scream is one of the best accompaniments to nominal drugs, proper house goes well with stimulants but I'm not familiar with it (the drugs that is, not the music). Try the KLF, or the Orb. The Chills have always been my favourite band for music of an ethereal (pretentious word alert) quality, for example I SOAR from Submarine Bells (you won't find that anywhere but the album), or this, Pink Frost: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ep9RdU60GlM

Songs don't make you feel high. Thats what drugs do. Ted Leo always makes me feel happy though. Or any song will make you feel happy of you ARE high. I call that an eargasm.
