I like the name Giada. It is pretty, unique and not to long or hard to spell. Sure some people may miss-pronounce it at first but don't let that discourage you. It's not a name you will have to repeat over and over for people to get it. So I say if you like that name you should go for it and don't listen to people who say it's too hard.

I think you should go with the name you love...
If you are really concerned, maybe try Jiada to reduce some of the spelling confusion, or Jaida...
Nowadays less common names are considered cool so your daughter wouldn't be weird with a unique name.
Maybe check out other italian names that you'd love.
To me, it's all about finding what you love about a name and going with that. Do you love the meaning? The sound? The spelling? Figure out what is most important to you and find a name that fits your criteria.

Using Spanish pronunciation rules, it would properly be pronounced Gee-A-Duh or Gee-Aea-Duh both of which are not very feminine. Though Jah-Dah is pretty, she will likely have to live with hearing very ugly sounding names when people try to guess how to say it. What about Jahda?

People might not confuse it, cause of the celebrity chef of the same name. I know how to pronounce, and I would not mistake it for Jada.
I also think it's a beautiful Italian name.

there is an illness you get when you travel that is spelt very similar to this name. So similar in fact that when i saw your post I thought it was a joke. There are tablets for it in my travellers medical kit. I'd probably steer away from naming my child this if she lives in a English speaking country, or she will be forever confused with the illness.

What about Jada, Jaida or Jaeda, it's the same name just spelt with the J thus less confusion.

I have a feeling that if you pick that name for your girl, it will be mis-pronounced over and over again and you will probably get a little agitated about it, I know I would. I love that fact that its different,but it will be said and probably spelled wrong alot.

Perhaps you an keep that name, and make a middle name more common (or more easy to pronouce) I really like that name, and how unique it is :) good luck

Too hard to pronounce and too hard to spell.
Personally, I think it sounds harsh. I think when it comes to girls names they should be soft sounding and flow off the tongue easily.

I think it looks like said "Guh-Ee-Ah-Dah" You could try Jada (Jay-da) like Jada-Pinkett Smith.
