I quit taking birth control after 2 weeks of my first pack, and now I am having a second period?

I stopped taking yasmin because of the negative side effects and everything i read about it. I was on my 8th day of my period when i got off it, and i guess it's giving me another peiod or just an extra long one cause i'm on my 16th day of bleeding. why is that happening and does anyone know when it will stop?
