I would, but the number of people that would just pass by would be unbelievable...look at the amount of people that will not hold a door for another. People may look at it as a law suit waiting to happen.

Of course I'd help.
Though these days trying to help usually ends me being told not to be patronising to the woman, or disabled person, I am offering to help.
BUT
I'd rather offer help to that one person, and take 10 loads of abuse off others, than not offer it at all.

i would not even have to think about it i would make sure i didn't make you feel helpless, either... to me it is a privelege to help someone and i know that most people feel the same way, no matter how many say that there are more bad people than good... they are wrong!!
